Arbitrum Project Will Hold an Airdrop of its Native Token ARB

The early adopters and investors of the Arbitrum network will receive 44% of the total supply of 10 billion ARB tokens in an airdrop on March 23.

This will be followed by a transition to a decentralized governance model (DAO) wherein members of the community and the DAO can have control over 56% of the votes.

The first stage of this transition will be the distribution of 12.75% of the coins. Steven Goldfeder, CEO of the project developer, has commented:

“For me, the most exciting part is decentralization, the fact that Offchain Labs will no longer have any control over the future of the network. We will remain a service provider, and if the DAO calls us to create software, we will do it.”
