Binance Staff Accused of Assisting China Users to Bypass KYC Regulations

A recent report has stated that Binance employees and volunteers have been aiding customers in China to bypass the exchange’s Know Your Customer (KYC) and other protocols.

Messages in Binance’s official Chinese-language chat rooms, containing instructions for circumventing the KYC and residency requirements, have been identified as coming from accounts belonging to Binance employees or volunteers, known as ‘Angels.’

Actions such as forging bank papers, attesting false addresses, and other system manipulations have been implicated.

In response, a Binance spokesperson has said that disciplinary measures have been taken against any employees that may have violated their internal policies.
