Blockchain Firm Sei Attracts $30M
Sei Network, a Tier 1 blockchain project focused on exchange trading, has raised $30 million at an $800 million valuation, according to TechCrunch.
The round was participated in by Jump Capital, Distributed Global, Multicoin Capital, Asymmetric Capital Partners, Flow Traders, Hypersphere Ventures, and Bixin Ventures.
The project’s public testnet has attracted about 3.6 million unique users and processed more than 35 million transactions in under a month, reports SushiSwap co-founder Jayendra Jog.
The team consists of former employees from Goldman Sachs, Databricks, Robinhood, Google, and Nvidia. Jog states, “Our goal is to create the best infrastructure for exchanges, not only for DeFi [Decentralized Finance], but for other applications too.”
