Binance.US Withdraws its Application to Buy Voyager Digital’s Assets
Binance.US announced on April 19 that it has terminated the agreement to purchase the bankrupt crypto broker Voyager Digital due to the “hostile and uncertain regulatory climate in the US” that was cited by Bloomberg.
The US Department of Justice had previously filed an application for an emergency freeze on the deal, which was then challenged by Voyager Digital.
On April 19, the US authorities withdrew their objections, allowing the sale of assets to proceed.
However, Binance.US noted that their Chapter 11 bankruptcy plan allows for the direct distribution of cash and digital assets to users through the platform.
Voyager Digital representatives responded that they will provide more information on the next steps and any actions that clients need to take in the coming days.
