Uniswap Might Deploy DEX on Coinbase’s Layer 2 Blockchain Base

Three influential Uniswap contributors – she256, Michigan Blockchain, and GFX Labs – have launched discussions to explore the potential deployment of Uniswap v3 on Coinbase’s Layer 2 blockchain Base.

GFX Labs would be responsible for the technical implementation of the contracts on Base, if the proposal passes a governance vote.

This venture would be beneficial for Coinbase’s Base, which is designed to provide developers with a more cost-effective platform to build decentralized apps.

Uniswap v3 has seen impressive usage on the Ethereum mainnet, with over half a billion dollars in trading volume in the last 24 hours alone.
