Ledger Will Accelerate Disclosure of Software Source Code

In response to user concerns, Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier has stated that the company will hasten the disclosure of software source code to demonstrate their commitment to the security of their customers’ assets.

This comes after backlash against the company’s announced Ledger Recover subscription service, which involves the storage of a seed phrase broken into three encrypted fragments by external custodians.

Gauthier has apologized for the confusion and misunderstanding caused by the product’s introduction, assuring the community that the company has never compromised on security and that the issue was simply a result of an “unintentional communication error.”
