Binance Coin’s Market Cap Fell by Almost 25% Last Month
At the end of May, the capitalization of Binance Coin had reached an all-time high of $48 billion, but by June 30, that figure had fallen to $37 billion – a 25% decrease.
On Friday, the cryptocurrency exchanged for $239.5 – a notable decline from the $316 it traded at just one month prior.
Several sources have contributed to its decline in value, including the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing an official lawsuit against Binance exchange, as well as France and the Netherlands investigating the platform for unlawful capital movement.
These events caused the altcoin to go down to $224 and risk dropping below $200.
Fortunately, it was able to go up to $229 this week, though experts predict it may not be able to rise above $300 again soon. All in all, BNB’s capitalization has fallen by $12 billion in the last month.
