Mutiny Project Unveils a Wallet for Lightning Network
The Mutiny team has released a beta version of a self-storage wallet connected to the Bitcoin Lightning Network micropayment network, yet it is not available in the App Store or Google Play stores.
The developers explain that this is due to the strict requirements of these stores, which deprives Bitcoin wallets and services of features such as tips or payment for digital content.
Mutiny Wallet is built with the help of Jack Dorsey’s Block Lightning Development Kit and has also partnered with infrastructure project Voltage to provide liquidity.
Funds locked in Lightning channels are separated from funds available for spending on the network due to user control.
For security purposes, the wallet uses the standard seed phrase, but also offers a feature for remote data recovery.
Furthermore, developers plan to add the ability to connect to the application from multiple devices, even though it is recommended to use only one for now to avoid any bad consequences.
The beta testing phase of the wallet could still have bugs, thus it is urged to exercise caution when sending large amounts.
