Robinhood Crypto Wallet Adds Custody, Send and Receive Support for Bitcoin and Dogecoin
Only six months after launching its own crypto wallet, Robinhood has added “custody, send, and receive support” for Bitcoin and Dogecoin, as well as enabling Ethereum swaps.
These additional features are at the request of users, as confirmed by a spokesperson for the company.
Initially, when the wallet was launched on Apple devices in March, it only supported Polygon and Ethereum tokens such as COMP, MATIC, SHIB, SOL, UNI and the USDC stablecoin.
Since then, Arbitrum and Optimism blockchains have also been supported.
This addition of Bitcoin and Dogecoin, two of the world’s biggest tokens in terms of market cap, comes shortly after a Robinhood earnings report that revealed revenue from crypto had dropped to $31 million, compared to $38 million the previous quarter. Android support for the wallet is arriving soon.
