Canaan Launches a New Generation Bitcoin Mining Device

Canaan has just unveiled its latest immersion-cooled cryptocurrency mining rig, the A1466I, which boasts a hashrate of 170 TH/s and an energy efficiency of 19.5 J/TH.

This new output significantly outperforms the manufacturer’s prior model, the A1366I, which offers a hashrate of 165 TH/s and efficiency of 30 J/TH.

Reportedly, the A1466I carries a cost of around $3,210 each, or $18.88 per TH. This installation marks the first Canaan machine to exceed 20 J/TH efficiency, and according to the Hashrate Index, the market quote for such miners stands at $19.98 per TH.

Overall, Canaan’s revenue for the second quarter was $73.9 million, a 33.7% increase from Q1, but still three times lower than in 2022.
