Chinese Newspaper Announces NFT Platform Launch

China Daily, a newspaper headquartered in China that is owned by the Publicity Department of the Chinese Communist Party, has announced plans to create its own metaverse and platform for NFTs.

The organization is looking to award 2.813 million Yuan ($390,000) to a third-party contractor who specializes in blockchain and is capable of designing the NFT platform within budget and technical specifications.

The contractor can be based in China or abroad. The chosen blockchain firm must have a mainnet that can handle at least 10,000 transactions per second. Interested contractors must submit their application by Oct. 17 and complete the platform within three months.

The goal of the China Daily NFT platform is to promote the influence of Chinese culture through various technologies such as metaverse, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), and blockchain.
