Attacker Targets KyberSwap DEX and Steals $46M
Approximately $46 million in cryptocurrency assets has reportedly been drained from the decentralized exchange KyberSwap in the most recent decentralized finance exploit.
On November 23, the Kyber Network team notified users of a security incident on KyberSwap Elastic through a post on Twitter.
They advised users to withdraw their funds as a precaution and stated that they were looking into the situation. Experts in blockchain technology have identified the affected and exploiter wallet addresses, which have recently been active.
According to Debank data, the exploit has resulted in a loss of approximately $46 million, including $20 million in Wrapped Ether (wETH), $7 million in wrapped Lido-staked Ether (wstETH), and $4 million in Arbitrum (ARB).
The funds were spread across various blockchains such as Arbitrum, Optimism, Ethereum, Polygon, and Base.
