Zipmex Suspends Trading in Thailand

Zipmex has announced that it will temporarily suspend all digital asset trading in Thailand in order to comply with regulations.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in Thailand has set certain criteria that the company must meet, leading Zipmex to suspend operations starting November 25, 2023.

Customers who wish to withdraw funds or assets must contact the exchange directly, and after January 31, 2024, withdrawals must be made through customer support.

This suspension follows previous challenges for Zipmex, including delays in paying customers and a new investigation by the SEC for violating rules.

The exchange has also requested an extension for a moratorium on its debt in Singapore.
