Donald Trump Launches its own NFT Collection
The latest addition to the personal NFT collection of former US President Donald Trump is the “MugShot” series, which features a photo of himself from prison.
The NFTs, deemed “trading cards,” can be purchased with fiat or “wrapped” ETH for $99 on the project’s website. However, non-fungible tokens cannot be exchanged until December 31, 2024, and buyers must undergo mandatory KYC verification.
The photograph featured in the NFT collection captures a historic moment – Trump’s formal arrest in Fulton County, Georgia on August 24, 2023.
According to the project description, it showcases a determined and furrowed browed Trump, portraying his refusal to give up.
Notably, avid supporters of the politician are urged to purchase 47 or more NFTs in one transaction to receive a physical copy of the mugshot along with a piece of the suit he was wearing during his arrest.
They will also have the opportunity to dine with the ex-president at his Mar-a-Lago hotel. Trump claims that the previous series of his NFT collection sold out “in a matter of hours,” proving his strong fanbase and support.
