Zilliqa Devs Fix a Network Glitch
The team behind the Zilliqa blockchain platform has successfully resolved the issue that caused the network to stop processing blocks for over 12 hours.
“We are happy to share that the Zilliqa network is now fully functional. We will release further details about the cause of the issue in due time,” the team announced.
On December 18, at approximately 4:00 PM Moscow time, the team reported a critical issue in the blockchain that resulted in the halt of block production.
They assured users that their assets were safe, but advised against depositing or withdrawing funds temporarily. At around 9:00 PM, the team announced that they had identified the problem and estimated it would take a few hours to fix.
After the incident, the price of the ZIL token, which had dropped significantly, has recovered to around $0.023. According to CoinGecko, the token’s value has increased by almost 8% in the last 24 hours.
