Bit Digital to Double its Bitcoin Hashrate
Bit Digital plans to boost the first cryptocurrency’s network hashrate to around 6 EH/s by 2024.
Operating six mining data centers in the United States, Canada, and Iceland, the New York-based firm currently holds approximately 0.6% of Bitcoin’s global hashrate, which stands at 535.4 EH/s as of now.
With a fleet of over 44,000 miners and a total productivity of 3.4 EH/s, Bit Digital also introduced Bit Digital AI, a division providing infrastructure services for generative artificial intelligence projects.
Amid a bear market, Bitcoin miners, including Bit Digital, are actively exploring ways to diversify income sources, with computing power provision to AI startups being one of the pursued directions.
