Canadian Crypto Exchange Catalyx Stops Withdrawals

Canadian cryptocurrency exchange Catalyx has temporarily suspended all trading and withdrawal activity on its platform due to a security breach.

The company suspects that the breach, which may have been caused by one of its employees, has resulted in the loss of some of its clients’ crypto assets.

The exact amount of assets lost has not been disclosed. The Alberta Securities Commission has also ordered Catalyx to halt all trading and has launched an investigation into the incident.

The exchange has enlisted the help of consulting firm Deloitte to investigate the situation further.
