OpenSea to Launch a New Version of the Platform
Devin Finzer, founder of the popular NFT marketplace OpenSea, recently announced plans to release version 2.0 of their platform. The update aims to enhance user experience with a better interface and improved asset identification.
According to the founder of OpenSea, the updated platform will offer a more user-friendly interface and improved identification of assets.
In a conversation with Bloomberg, Finzer explained that the industry should move away from solely focusing on sales numbers and viewing NFTs as just collectible images.
He emphasized the importance of creating compelling use cases for NFTs and expressed OpenSea’s focus on this rather than just increasing trading volumes.
Despite losing some of its dominance in trading volume to competing platforms like Blur, OKX, and Magic Eden, Finzer believes that volume can be misleading, as some platforms incentivize activity through their own tokens.
