SEC Backs Do Kwon’s Request to Delay TFL Hearings
According to Cointelegraph, Do Kwon, co-founder of the now-collapsed Terraform Labs (TFL), requested a delay for the trial, which the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) supported.
The court documents mention that the SEC is prepared to proceed with the trial against TFL and its leader, but the start date needs to be changed.
The document also notes that the SEC agrees with Kwon’s request for a brief postponement in order for him to participate in the trial, and suggests the new date to be April 15, 2024.
On January 11, Kwon asked for a delay in the trial to personally attend, but faced difficulties due to extradition delays.
Despite supporting the postponement, the SEC opposes the separation of Kwon’s case from Terraform Labs’. The SEC initially charged both parties in the same proceeding in February 2023.
