Ethereum Deploys Dencun Upgrade on Goerli Testnet

The Ethereum core developers have successfully deployed the Dencun upgrade on the Goerli test network, which is a precursor to its official launch on the mainnet.

The upgrade was confirmed by core developers during a livestream and faced challenges such as potential chain split and synchronization bugs among clients.

The DevOps engineer for the Ethereum Foundation also confirmed that the Dencun fork on Goerli was finalized.

In anticipation of the mainnet release, the development team has decided to gradually implement the upgrade on various testnets, with today’s Goerli deployment being the first.
