CleanSpark: Mining Companies to Experience Losses After BTC Halving
In April, the Bitcoin halving will occur, leading to a decrease in miners’ rewards from 6.25 to 3.125 BTC. CleanSpark founder Matthew Schultz warns that if the current price of Bitcoin continues, mining enterprises may face losses.
The 11 largest companies in the industry, including Marathon Digital, Riot Platforms, and Core Scientific, are expected to be the most impacted.
British company Argo and American company Hut 8 will also face difficulties, with estimated production costs of $62,276 and $60,360 respectively after the halving.
However, Schultz believes that Birdeer and CleanSpark will be able to continue operations due to their resources and risk management strategies.
Russian company BtRiver, led by Igor Runets, is expected to experience growth after the halving, as the cost of Bitcoin mining in Russia is currently around $15,000 compared to $23,000 in the USA. After the halving, mining costs in Russia will rise to $24,000, while in the USA, it will increase to $37,000.
