OKX Launches an Exchange in Argentina

OKX is expanding into Argentina as part of its ongoing efforts to tap into the Latin American market. Following its successful launch in Brazil in late 2023, OKX is now offering its crypto exchange platform, self-custody wallet, and NFT trading services to users in Argentina.

This move comes after Argentina ranked 15th on the 2023 Global Crypto Adoption Index by Chainalysis, which evaluates countries based on their on-chain and real-world data related to crypto adoption. The neighboring country, Brazil, ranked ninth on the index.

This announcement comes nine months after Binance, a rival crypto exchange, also expanded its services into Argentina in response to the high demand for crypto services in the nation.

Maximiliano Hinz, director of Binance for the Latam southern cone, explained that the decision to expand into Argentina was driven by the growing public demand for crypto services in the country.
