Andreessen Horowitz Invests $100M in a Restaking Project

EigenLab’s restaking project, EigenLayer, received a $100 million investment from prominent venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz.

EigenLayer announced the investment in a blog post, stating that it was part of their Series B round, with a16z crypto General Partner Ali Yahya leading the investment.

Yahya expressed excitement about the partnership, saying that they are looking forward to working with EigenLayer founder Sreeram Kannan and his team to create a platform that promotes open innovation on the Ethereum network.

This is not the first time EigenLabs has received a significant investment. In March 2023, they closed a $50 million Series A round led by Blockchain Capital and with participation from major players like Coinbase Ventures and Polychain Capital.

During this round, it was reported that EigenLabs was aiming for a $250 million post-equity valuation and a $500 million token valuation.
