Do Kwon Will Be Extradited to South Korea, Not to US

The court in Montenegro has ruled that Do Kwon, co-founder of Terraform Labs, will be extradited to South Korea.

This decision overturns a previous ruling from a different Montenegro court which had ordered Kwon’s extradition to the United States on February 21.

Kwon’s legal team had filed an appeal against the US extradition, citing issues with the legal process. On March 5, the Montenegro Court of Appeals revoked his extradition to the US.

In a separate development, the South Korean National Police reached out to Interpol, the international law enforcement agency, to assist with Kwon’s transfer from Montenegro to South Korea.

This request was made after South Korea had already requested Kwon’s extradition from the US.
