Trump NFT Collection’s Trading Volume Collapses
Since former US President Donald Trump released his first collection of digital trading card NFTs in late 2022, his interest in crypto and Bitcoin appears to have grown.
However, interest in this original collection has significantly decreased. OpenSea data shows that trading volume for the initial collection of 45,000 NFTs, which featured exaggerated, cartoon-like images of the 45th president, has dropped by 99% in the past month, with no transactions occurring in the past week.
Despite this decline, the collection has still generated over $50 million in total trading volume since its release in December 2022, according to OpenSea data.
While the overall trading volume for NFTs has decreased compared to the 2021 market boom, the buying and selling of NFTs has remained stable in recent months.
