JPMorgan: Bitcoin is a Scam
During an interview with Bloomberg, JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon stated that Bitcoin lacks the necessary qualities to be considered a currency.
He has maintained this stance, calling it a scam and a decentralized Ponzi scheme. Dimon clarified that Bitcoin is primarily a speculative asset and those who view it as a legitimate form of money are mistaken.
However, he acknowledged the potential of blockchain technology for efficient transactions and data transfer, expressing optimism in platforms like Ethereum.
Known for his outspoken criticism of digital assets, Dimon previously stated in October 2021 that Bitcoin has no intrinsic value and that his opinion is not popular.
He has also referred to cryptocurrencies as decentralized Ponzi schemes. In January 2024, Dimon declared that he would no longer comment on the issue of “digital gold.”
