Bitcoin and Ethereum Volatility Will Decrease, Analyst Says

Current implied volatility levels for Bitcoin and Ethereum options suggest a relatively stable market for cryptocurrencies in the upcoming weeks, according to Deribit’s commercial director Luuk Strijers.

The mentioned metric for the leading cryptocurrency has significantly decreased since mid-May. Meanwhile, analysts from QCP Capital have also observed indicators of a sluggish market. They pointed out that implied volatility has weakened following the approval of the ETH-ETF, despite other market catalysts.

Experts have cautioned that this “sleepy market” may lead to unexpected developments. As a result, they are focusing on bullish bets, particularly on Ethereum.

The launch of an exchange-traded fund for Ethereum earlier than anticipated may provide the necessary boost to change the current market situation. Strijers also highlighted that there is a noticeable bearish sentiment for the next two weeks, as reflected in the put-to-call ratio.
