Fox and Time Are Using Blockchain to Check News Authenticity

Fox Corporation and the global media brand Time have joined forces to utilize Fox’s Verify protocol, in order to establish immutable content licensing and verification.

The objective of this collaboration is to uphold the integrity of journalism and combat the spread of false information in the media.

Time’s COO Mark Howard emphasized the importance of this mission, stating, “As access to reliable information becomes increasingly crucial, Time is proud to collaborate with Fox’s Verify, which serves as a trusted source of fact-based journalism.”

According to Fox, Time will be the inaugural external publishing partner to integrate blockchain verification technology into journalism.

Fox’s CTO, Melody Hildebrandt, shared her excitement about the partnership, affirming that Time shares their enthusiasm for AI and their dedication to safeguarding brand reputation and authenticity, while also leveraging new and meaningful ways to distribute content.
