Mt. Gox Starts Repaying its Creditors

Collapsed crypto exchange Mt. Gox has started to repay its debts in Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. These repayments are being made to select rehabilitation creditors through designated crypto exchanges, following the rehabilitation plan.

According to a post by the MtGoxBalanceBot account, the current Bitcoin balance on all known Mt. Gox Trustee addresses is 94,457 BTC, with 47,288 BTC having been moved from these addresses so far. Repayments to the remaining rehabilitation creditors will be carried out promptly after certain conditions have been met.

This includes confirming the validity of accounts and ensuring that creditors accept the terms of the Agency Receipt Agreement provided by the designated crypto exchanges.

In order to ensure the safety and security of the repayments, discussions on the repayment procedures between the Rehabilitation Trustee and the exchanges must also be concluded.
