Bitwise Expands to European Market Through New Acquisition

Crypto asset manager Bitwise has acquired London-based ETC Group, a leading issuer of cryptocurrency exchange-traded products (ETPs). 

This strategic move significantly expands Bitwise’s global footprint, boosting its assets under management to over $4.5 billion and adding nine European-listed digital asset ETPs to its product line. 

Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley sees the acquisition as a catalyst for serving European investors, offering global market insights, and introducing innovative ETPs.

Bitwise, known for its spot Bitcoin ETF BITB, which currently holds a 3.74% market share, has also recently launched a spot Ether ETF, ETHW. 

These developments underscore the company’s commitment to providing diverse investment options for its clients.
