Kraken Delists Monero in Europe

Monero, the most widely used and well-known privacy-centric cryptocurrency, may soon be removed from the Kraken crypto exchange.

European users have been notified that they have 30 days before XMR pairs will no longer be available for trading on the platform.

Despite this setback, the founder of Monero (XMR) sees it as a validation of the project’s focus on privacy and security. Kraken cited increased regulatory pressure on centralized exchanges and privacy coins as the reason for this decision, after considering all potential alternatives.

The delisting will take place on October 31st for all customers registered in the European Economic Area (EEA).
