Montenegro Halts Terraform Labs Former CEO Extradition

The Constitutional Court in Montenegro temporarily stopped the extradition of Do Kwon, former founder and CEO of Terraform Labs, on Oct. 18.

This decision was made a day after it was announced by the Montenegrin Justice Ministry and was promised to be publicly disclosed on Oct. 20.

The Supreme Court had previously entrusted the Justice Ministry with deciding Kwon’s extradition, which had been requested by both the United States and South Korea.

The ministry was not informed of the suspension of this decision until the last minute, and has requested that the Constitutional Court communicate promptly and efficiently in the future.

The court states that it will not proceed with the extradition process until it makes a ruling on Kwon’s appeal.
