Judge Allows Coinbase to Delist Wrapped Bitcoin

On Wednesday, a federal judge denied the request for a temporary restraining order against Coinbase by BiT Global, a Hong Kong-based firm.

The judge found that BiT Global had not provided enough evidence to demonstrate that they would suffer immediate and irreparable harm as a result of Coinbase’s plans to remove WBTC from its platform.

Despite BiT Global’s allegations of unfair business practices, the judge stated that they had not presented enough evidence to justify stopping Coinbase’s move to delist WBTC.

The lawsuit was initiated by BiT Global after Coinbase announced its intention to delist WBTC, citing concerns about Justin Sun, the co-founder of Tron, a layer-1 blockchain.
