Metaplanet to Expand Bitcoin Treasury to 10,000 BTC 

Japanese firm Metaplanet has revealed plans to expand its Bitcoin treasury to 10,000 BTC by 2025.

CEO Simon Gerovich shared this goal in a New Year’s message to shareholders, stating:

“Last year was transformational, as we broke records, grew our Bitcoin treasury, and solidified our position as Asia’s leading Bitcoin Treasury Company,” in a tweet.

The expansion plan builds on Metaplanet’s consistent Bitcoin accumulation throughout 2024.

The company grew its holdings from 225.611 BTC in July to 1,761.98 BTC by December 23.
