Trump to Sign Crypto Executive Order on First Day

President-elect Donald Trump is preparing to issue an executive order related to cryptocurrency at the beginning of his second term.

This initial executive order is expected to establish a presidential council of approximately 20 prominent individuals in the industry, such as founders and CEOs.

Additionally, the order may direct the SEC to abandon the SAB 121 rule, which currently discourages American banks from holding cryptocurrency.

It appears that this may only be the beginning, as Trump’s transition team had previously drafted a more comprehensive executive order addressing various issues surrounding cryptocurrency.

Therefore, while an initial order may be issued within the first day, it is likely that more executive orders will follow in the following days and weeks of the Trump administration.
