Tether CEO Eyes US Expansion

Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino expressed interest in potentially expanding the company’s presence in the United States, but remains cautious as regulatory changes are still uncertain.

“We may consider establishing a stronger presence in the US, but we are being careful in our approach,” Ardoino said in an interview with Bloomberg TV on January 16.

He also emphasized the need for regulatory clarity and guidance before making any decisions. “We need to understand what regulations will be put in place by the US government, and then we can make informed choices,” he added.

The potential for a more favorable regulatory landscape in the US would be beneficial for Tether and other similar companies.

Ardoino sees this as a promising opportunity and believes that the US has the potential to lead in technological advancements. However, he also acknowledged that the lack of clear regulations in the crypto space is an issue.
