
Bybit CEO Says Ethereum Liquidity Gap is Closed
On February 24, 2025, Bybit’s CEO announced that the Ethereum deficit on their platform had been completely resolved, restoring full liquidity.
The CEO also assured that a new audited report would soon be released to confirm that BYBIT’s reserves maintain a 1:1 backing, a crucial factor for preserving trust and stability on the platform.
At the time of the announcement, ETH was priced at $3,500 on Bybit, marking a 2% rise from its prior price of $3,430 just before the announcement.
Following the announcement, ETH trading volume on Bybit spiked by 40% within the first hour, reaching 10,000 ETH. Moreover, the ETH/BTC trading pair on BYBIT saw a 1.5% increase in ETH’s price against BTC.
